Comm. 62: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY (Res. 28-11) DONATION OF $1,175.75 TO THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AGAINST METHAMPHETAMINE DRUGS (from Club 200 c/o HPM); and Recommends adoption of Res. 28-11. Ayes: Committee Members Blas, Hoffmann, Ikeda, Onishi, Pilago, Smart, Yagong, Yoshimoto and Chair Ford. Noes: None. Absent: None. (Bill 16) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 10-59, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2011 (increases revenues of $1,175.75 in the Contribution from Private Source Account, and appropriates same to the Police Administration Division – Other Current Expenses Account; these funds will be used to purchase materials such as pamphlets and brochures to educate the public) From Finance Director Nancy E. FC-2 Page 3 February 1, 2011 Comm. 68 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I (Res. 31-11) TO IMPLEMENT A GAS ALLOWANCE POLICY FOR ALL EXCLUDED MANAGERIAL POLICE PERSONNEL THAT IS IDENTICAL TO THE GAS ALLOWANCE POLICY AGREED UPON THROUGH THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I ORGANIZATION OF POLICE OFFICERS From Council Chair Dominic Yagong, dated January 19, 2011, transmitting the above resolution. Recommends adoption of Res. 31-11. Ayes: Committee Members Blas, Hoffmann, Ikeda, Onishi, Pilago, Smart, Yagong, Yoshimoto and Chair Ford. Noes: None. Absent: None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Comm. 990: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT OF THAT CERTAIN (Res. 409-10) DRAINAGE DITCH RIGHT-OF-WAY, SITUATE AT KALŌPĀ HOMESTEADS, IN THE DISTRICT OF HAMAKUA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAI‘I, AND SALE OF A PORTION OF SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY TO JAMES OLSON AND ANNE OLSON From Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, dated October 25, 2010, transmitting the above resolution. Postponed: January 3, 2011 (Note: There is a pending motion made by Mr. Onishi and duly seconded by Mr. Hoffmann to recommend passage of Bill 319 on first reading.) Comm. 996: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10-60, AS AMENDED, (Bill 320) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2010 TO JUNE 30, 2011 (adds the Environmental Management, Hilo Baseyard Facility project for $600,000 to the Capital Budget; funds will be used to construct a new building to support the Hilo Solid Waste Division staff) From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated October 28, 2010, transmitting the above bill.
