Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $1,000 from Atlas Recycling
Centers, LLC, P.O. Box 5294, Hilo, Hawaii 96720. This money will be used by the
Department of Parks and Recreation to support the Lawa Kua Nui / Big Kids Hawaii
program, which provides educational and athletic opportunities for children in grades five
to eight, who are unable to participate because they exceed the program's weight
restrictions.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of cash to support the Lawa Kua Nui / Big Kids Hawai'i program.
Lawa Kua Nui was created to provide educational and athletic opportunities for boys and girls in grades five
to eight who are unable to participate because they exceed the programs weight restrictions.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
