Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 240-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 240-00, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via
Communication No. 728, dated March 28, 2000, authorizes the Mayor to enter into amulti-year
agreement to lease two (2) copy machines.
The Office of Housing and Community Development wishes to enter into afive-year lease
contract for two copy machines. Funds are budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated cost.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 240-00
and recommends its adoption.
