Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 245-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 245-00, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 746, dated April 10, 2000, authorizes the County to accept a donation of land from BP
Partners, Hawaii General Partnership and Pan-Pacific Development, Inc., A Hawaii
Corporation.
BP Partners, Hawaii General Partnership and Pan-Pacific Development, Inc., A Hawaii
Corporation has graciously donated approximately 1.238 acres of real property bearing Tax Map
Key (3) 6-5-003-004 to be used as a part of Waimea Trails & Greenways Project. The value of
this donation is estimated at $100.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 245-00
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to BP Partners, 1099 Alakea Street, Suite 1170, Honolulu, HI 96819, and Pan-Pacific
Development, Inc., 2621 Waiwai Loop, Honolulu, HI 96819, acknowledging this generous
donation.
