Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 247, reports as follows:
Bill No. 247, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 757,
dated April 24, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2000, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Honomu/Mamalahoa Bridge Replacement -Federal 110-399-5391.23-115 $1,300,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $1,300,000
Funds will be used to replace an existing concrete bridge that is structurally and functionally
deficient with a new concrete bridge. Construction plans are nearing completion and
construction is planned for this fall.
The aforementioned is the total Federal share for this project and will be entirely reimbursable.
An allotment for the County share has been requested.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 247 and
recommends it pass first reading.
