Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 249, reports as follows:
Bill No. 249, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 759,
dated April 24, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
.Tune 30, 2000, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Inoino/Mamalahoa Bridge Replacement-Federal 110-399-5393.38-115 $800,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $800,000
Funds for construction were authorized by FHWA on September 30, 1997 to replace an existing
wooden bridge that is structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete bridge.
Construction plans are nearing completion and construction is planned for this summer.
The aforementioned is the total Federal share for this project and will be entirely reimbursable.
An allotment for the County share has been requested.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 249 and
recommends it pass first reading.
