RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL
YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE OF
ONE (1) COPIER FOR THE OFFICE OF AGING
WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other
obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for five
(5) years for one (1) copier for the Office of Aging's Hilo Office, as their current copier lease has
expired; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Aging is looking for a comparable copier to their present unit,
with a higher capacity to meet the steady increase /demand in their office; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease
agreement for one (1) copier for the Office of Aging.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one copier, comparable to the existing copier in
the Office of Aging's Hilo Office shall be leased for a period of one (1) year at a cost not to
exceed $200 per month, and in addition to the monthly lease, the cost per page of black
and white copies shall not exceed $0.0085, and the cost per page of color copies shall not
exceed $0.065.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai'i shall
transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Office of Aging, and the
Finance Department.
