Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 250, reports as follows:
Bill No. 250, transmitted by Finance Director Hany Takahashi, via Communication No. 760,
dated April 24, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
.Tune 3Q 2000, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Paniolo Drive Sidewalk Improvement 110-399-5394.32-115 $200,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $200,000
Fund Balance and/or Other Sources
Funds will be used to design and construct a concrete sidewalk on the western side of Paniolo
Drive between the Waikoloa Baptist Church and Laie Street. There is presently no sidewalk,
forcing school children and other pedestrians to walking on the paved roadway.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 250 and
recommends it pass first reading.
