At the February 16, 2011 Council meeting, the Council adopted Resolution No. 30 -11, which
amended Rule 10, Voting, of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the
County of Hawai `i. Rule 10, item number 15 states "Members of boards and commissions duly
appointed by the Mayor, as prescribed in Section 13 -4(b), Hawai`i County Charter, shall be
voted on individually and not as a group or as a slate of members or nominees."
As such, I am transmitting this communication to inform you that the nominees submitted by the
Mayor in Communication No. 107 for the redistricting commission will be taken up in the
manner prescribed in Rule 10, item number 15.
