Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill 20,
reports as follows:
Bill 20, transmitted by the Director of Public Works Warren H. W. Lee, via
Communication No. 75, dated January 19, 2011, amends the Hawai`i County Code 1983, (2005
Edition, as Amended), Chapter 24, article 8, division 3, section 24 -210, (hours of freight loading
zones; schedule), subsection (a), by repealing the word "curb," changing the word "to" to "and"
and adding "unless otherwise described in schedule 36, section 24 -288" after the word
"holidays."
This is necessary to address a need to provide more flexibility to the period of time when loading
and unloading activities can take place throughout the day.
There were no testifiers for this item.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill 20, and recommends its passage on first reading.
