Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 252, reports as follows:
Bill No. 252, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 251-00 by Finance Director
Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 763, dated April 25, 2000, amends Ordinance
No. 99-7Q as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2000. The amendment is as
follows:

This grant is provided to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries to all occupants and increase
seatbelt usage by at least 5.9%. This will be accomplished by conducting roadblocks to enforce
seatbelt usage and acquiring child restraint seats.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 252 and
recommends it pass first reading.
