It is my pleasure to nominate Gail Byrne of Council District 9 to the County of Ff6wai'i
Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
Ms. Byrne is a 13 -year resident of Hawaii. She is currently a self - employed planning
consultant. Prior to that, she was director at the Hawaii Wildfire Management
Organization.
Ms. Byrne's community service includes membership with the Kohala Natural Healing
Arts 501 Board, Malama Kohala Kahakai, and Kako'o. She states that she is not
affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2015, replacing E. Kalani Flores, whose term expired on
December 31, 2010.
