Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 767, reports as follows:
Communication No. 767, transmitted by Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) Vice
President Al Smith, dated April 26, 2000, submits highlights of the Executive Committee
meeting of April 25, 2000, requests the approval of a proposed slate of HSAC officers for fiscal
year 2000-2001 and request approval on a proposed amendment to the HSAC Policy relating to
signing of conference and special events checks.
The following slate was submitted to Your Committee for preliminary approval:
President Rene Mansho, City & County of Hawaii
Vice President Al Smith, County of Hawaii
Secretary Dennis Nakamura, County of Maui
Treasurer Ronald Kouchi, County of Kauai
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 767
and recommends the approval of the Hawaii State Association of Counties slate of Officers for
fiscal year 2000-2001. Your Committee also recommends the approval of the amendment to the
HSAC Policy.
