Dear Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Laurie Bass of Council District 1 to the Hawaii County Fire
Commission. Ms. Bass is a 25 -year resident of Hawaii. She is presently employed as
a Health Information Technology /Health Information Exchange Manager at Research
Corporation of the University of Hawaii. Prior to that, Ms. Bass was self - employed with
Professional Concepts /Applied Networks, and employed as a system administrator at
Gemini.
Ms. Bass states that she is a not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will
serve a term to end on December 31, 2015, replacing Stephen Bowles, whose term
expired on December 31, 2010.
