Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 44 -11, Communication
No. 110, reports as follows:
Resolution No, 44 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford via Communication
No. 110, dated February 15, 2011, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year for a multi -year lease of one (1) copier for the Office of Aging.
The Office of Aging wishes to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for five (5) years, for one
(1) copier with a higher capacity to meet the steady increase /demand in their Hilo office.
Pursuant to Section 10 -9 Hawai'i County Charter, any contract lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 44-11,
and recommends its adoption.
