Gonzalez Deputy Director �J We request that Bill No. 21, relating two -hour parking areas along Kino`ole Street, be amended to read as follows (material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken through, material to be added is underscored): "(16) Kino`ole Street, northeast side, from Kalakaua Street to a point two hundred seventy -nine feet southeast of Mamo Street, except for freight loading zone, beginning from a point two hundred thirty -five feet southeast of Haili Street and extending [six thFee forty -six feet in the southeasterly direction from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as set forth in section 24 -288, schedule 36, freight loading zones; southwest side, from Waianuenue Avenue to Haili Street." The above amendment is illustrated via Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 21, rather than the existing language of the Hawaii County Code. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24 -284, schedule 32 (two hour parking areas), subsection(c) South Hilo, paragraph 16, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended to read as follows: (16) Kino`ole Street, [maka] northeast side, from Kalakaua Street to a point two hundred seventy -nine feet southeast of Mamo Street[;], except for freight loading zone beginning from a point two hundred thirty -five feet southeast of Haili Street and extending forty -six feet in the southeasterly direction from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as set forth in section 24 -288, schedule 36 freight loading zones; ones; [mauk ] southwest side, from Waianuenue Avenue to Haili Street. SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
