Relations, <br />Workforce Development Division <br />County Grantee Department or Agency: Hawaii County Office of Aging <br />Grant No. (IF KNOWN): LBR 111- 06(OACSEP) <br />Amount of Grant: $367,981 <br />Amount of County Match: $45,576 <br />County Revenue Account Number: #3301.20 <br />Grant Period (Commencement & Completion): July 1, 2009 - December 31, 2010 <br />Goals: Hawai`i's communities have the necessary economic, workforce, and <br />physical capacity for an aging society. <br />Objectives: In partnership with the public and private sectors, HCOA will provide at <br />least 58 older individuals training and part-time employment opportunites. <br />Outcomes or Results: 79 older adults received training and part-time employment; 5,368 hours <br />or 21% of community service assignments were utilized in positions serving the needs of older <br />adults; 58 participants or 40% of participants had priority designations; 4 participants were <br />retained in unsubsidized employment for 6 months or more. <br />/vrb <br />Comm.
