Grant Period (Commencement & Completion): July 1, 2009 - December 31, 2010
Goals: Hawai`i's communities have the necessary economic, workforce, and
physical capacity for an aging society.
Objectives: In partnership with the public and private sectors, HCOA will provide at
least 58 older individuals training and part-time employment opportunites.
Outcomes or Results: 79 older adults received training and part-time employment; 5,368 hours
or 21% of community service assignments were utilized in positions serving the needs of older
adults; 58 participants or 40% of participants had priority designations; 4 participants were
retained in unsubsidized employment for 6 months or more.
