Dear Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to the County of Hawai'i Tax Board of
Review.
Council District 5 – Scott Church is a 33 -year resident of Hawai'i. Since 2000, he is a self
employed real estate developer and broker with SFC Realty Corporation. Mr. Church's
community service has involved membership with the Kona Chamber of Commerce. He states
that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2014, replacing Ernest Matsumura whose term expired on December 31, 2009.
Council District 9 – Michael D'Amico is a 35 -year resident of Hawai'i. From 1996 to 2010, he
was employed as a real property appraiser with the County of HawaiTs Department of Finance.
Mr. D'Amico states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a
term to expire on December 31, 2015, replacing Harold Murata whose term expired on
December 31, 2010.
