Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 278-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 278-OQ, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 835, dated June 26, 2000, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Andrew Urasaki of
Stacey's Pets. A letter of appreciation will be sent to Andrew Urasaki, Stacey's Pets, 333
Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
Andrew Urasaki of Stacey's Pets has graciously donated two Holland Lop Rabbits and three
Guinea Pigs for educational purposes and as petting zoo animals to the Department of Parks &
Recreation for the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo. The value of this donation is estimated at $134.00.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 278-00
and recommends its adoption.

The following is the action of the Hawaii County Council adopted at its
meeting held July 26, 2000:
Res. 278-00 was adopted and FC Report No. 289 was approved
and adopted.
