Re: Resolution for multi -year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a new multi -year lease agreement, for one (1) copier for the Department of Parks
and Recreation. This copier services the West Hawai'i CSE (Coordinated Services
program for the Elderly), RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program), and EAD
(Elderly Activities Division) Office at the West Hawaii Civic Center. Their current copy
machine is a 2003 model and near the end of its useful life, and therefore needs to be
replaced.

A. REQUEST:
Approval to enter into a five -year multi -year lease agreement for one (1) multi- function copy machines for the
Kona Coordinated Services for the Elderly, at the West Hawai'i Civic Center.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This copier services the West HI CSE, RSVP, and EAD Office that is at New West HI Civic Center. The
current copier is 2003 model which was originally leased and purchased in 2008. It is nearing the end of it's
useful life, parts and repair will be costing more than fiscally responsible.
We seek replacement with comparable features and lease and per copy prices not to exceed $500 per
month, black and white copies shall not exceed 3 cents and color copy shall not exceed 8 cents.
