This machine is valued at $11,149, and is being donated by the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation. It will provide a safer means to deploy a helicopter from the hanger when personnel are limited. This donation is valued at $1,250, and is being donated by Ed Allen. Comm. 149: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN (Res. 54 -11) AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, PURSUANT TO HRS 46 -7, FOR A DISTRACTED DRIVING PROJECT GRANT FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT: and (Note: Bill 38, also related to Comm. 149, continues on the following page.) FC -7 Page 3 April 5, 2011 (Bill 38) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 10 -59 AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2011 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 22, 2011, transmitting the above resolution and bill. Appropriates revenues of $25,278.40 in the Federal Grants — Distracted Driving Account; and appropriates same in the Police Department's Distracted Driving Account. The goal of this project is to reduce the number of drivers using an electronic mobile device while operating a motor vehicle from 1.55 percent to .55 percent by September 30, 2011. Comm. 150: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL (Res. 55 -11) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) COPIER FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 22, 2011, transmitting the above resolution. This copier will service the West Hawaii Coordinated Services program for the Elderly, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, and the Elderly Activities Division Office at the West Hawaii Civic Center. Their current copier is a 2003 model at the end of its useful life, and therefore needs to be replaced. Comm. 151: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL (Res. 56 -11) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) COPIER FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 22, 2011, transmitting the above resolution. The new copier will improve efficiency by providing improved performance at a reduced cost. Their current copier is nearly eight years old and in need of replacement. Comm. 152: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A PAY PLAN FOR PERSONS EMPLOYED BY THE (Bill 39) COUNTY OTHER THAN THOSE WHOSE PAY IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR, DESIGNATING PAYROLL PERIODS, PAY DAYS, PRESCRIBING REQUIREMENTS WITH RESPECT TO OFFICIAL FIDELITY BONDS, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 10 -46 AND ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO, SAID ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE SALARY ORDINANCE OF 2011 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 22, 2011, transmitting the above bill. Amends Section 3. Rate of Compensation (B) was amended from the Office of the County Council to the Legislative Branch; Section 7.01 was amended to read "Legislative Branch;" and Office of the County Clerk and Office of the Legislative Auditor was renumbered 7.01(a) and 7.01(b), respectively.
