Your Committee on Human Services, Social Services and Public Safety, to which was referred
Communication Number 114, reports as follows:
Communication 114 transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated February 24, 2011, requesting
confirmation of Ms. Laurie Bass to the Hawai`i County Fire Commission.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Charmaine Shigemura informed the members of the Committee that
Ms. Bass was not able to attend today's meeting, however would be available for questions at the next
full Council meeting.
Mr. Yagong requested his colleagues to support this nomination.
Your Committee on Human Services, Social Services and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 114, and recommends confirmation of Ms. Laurie Bass to the Hawai`i
County Fire Commission. It was agreed by all members present that she would not have to appear
before the full Council
