RE: Resolution No. 48 -11, Dr. 2, Supporting Mayor William P. Kenoi in his Efforts to
Obtain Disaster Relief Funding from State and Federal Sources to Assist the County of
Hawai`i in its Recovery from the March 11, 2011, Tsunami
Attached please find Resolution No. 48 -11, Draft 2, that incorporates non - substantive
typographical errors duly approved at the March 28, 2011, Special Council Meeting. Corrections
were made to the first and third WHEREAS clauses of Resolution No. 48 -11, changing "March
10, 2011" to read "March 11, 2011."
As a separate note, the March 10, 2010, date initially cited in the first WHEREAS clause in
Resolution No. 48 -11, is in fact the date an earthquake measuring 8.8 magnitude on the Richter
scale occurred. Additionally, the March 10, 2010 date initially cited in the third WHEREAS
clause in Resolution No. 48 -11, is in fact the date Acting Mayor William Takaba issued the state
of emergency proclamation and declaration for the entire Island of Hawai`i.
