I am a student at Parker School, it is a small private school located in Waimea Hawaii. I am really
concerned with the use of plastic bags on our island, due to the carelessness of some of the residence.
Cause of the fact that some people do not care about the island, the plastic grocery bags used in many
stores on our island are showing up on our beaches on our is land this is not only hurting our marine life.
Also some of the endangered marine species such at the Hawaiian sea Turtles eat the plastic thinking
that it is one of their foods jelly fish. I would love to see a decrease in the use of plastic bags on our
island. This issue should be recognized to ensure the future of our marine life.
