Plastic Bag Reduction

We all use plastic bags in life for shopping and many other things in life. But what happens after
when the plastic bags get thrown away. The reason why I say this is because the environment is dying
from plastic bags. The bags go into the ocean or into the forest or even onto the streets.
What plastic bags do to our world is a lot of things like kill plants and animals. Animals eat or
get caught in plastic bags because we use them way too much. Also it cost a lot of money to recycle the
bags, it cost $4,000 per ton. To sell plastic bags only cost $32 per ton. Almost all over the world is
trying their best to clean up the litter on the streets and in the ocean.
Plastic bags use up a lot of oil and other materials that we could save on. The plastic bags waste
just too much oil. When you could be using reusable and save a lot of oil. That's why we have to start
thinking about reducing our use of plastic bags. Reusable is made out of recycled pieces of trash, and we
don't use as much oil as we do with plastic.
When you recycle a plastic bag it doesn't really get recycled and disintegrated. People just ship it
off to other locations and just get thrown in a huge dumpster. Then usually the bag will probably fly

away and get onto the streets or get caught in trees. If a huge flood came it would wash away a lot of
plastic bags and into storm drains that then lead into the ocean. The problem is that when a bag flows
into the ocean, Will someone pick it up?
On the roads sometimes you will see a lot of trash and bags on the side or even in the middle of a
highway. Sometimes car accidents can be caused by plastic bags but not just any plastic bag the big
black trash bags. Those bags usually fly out of unsecured trucks and can sometimes cause a car accident.
Just because of that plastic bag.
What would you think if we reduced on using plastic bags? Well we would definitely save a lot
more oil and not have so much bags flying around on the streets or into the ocean. Are environment we
just be a lot cleaner because we would reduce the use of plastic bags. All of us would start making a
difference if we reducing plastic bags.
