Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 280, reports as follows:
Bill No. 280, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 838,
dated June 29. 2000, amends Ordinance No. 00-63, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2001. The amendment is as follows:

3301.61 Federal Grant- Sobriety Checkpoint Exp General $15,000
To:
010-201-5219.28 Sobriety Checkpoint Exp General $15,000
The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs Office-Safe Community Program is
providing additional funding under the Sobriety Checkpoint 1999-2000 grant for Police
Department personnel to conduct more DUI roadblocks.
Your Committee requested a copy of HCPD Sobriety Checkpoint schedules A, B, C, and D from
the Police Department prior to the next Council meeting.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 280 and
recommends it pass First reading.
