Appropriates revenues of $25,278.40 in the Federal Grants–Distracted Driving Account; and appropriates same in the Police Department’s Distracted Driving Account. The goal of this project is to reduce the number of drivers using an electronic mobile device while operating a motor vehicle from 1.55 percent to .55 percent by September 30, 2011. This copier will service the West Hawai‘i Coordinated Services program for the Elderly, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, and the Elderly Activities Division Office at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center. Their current copier is a 2003 model at the end of its useful life, and therefore needs to be replaced. Recommends adoption of Res. 55-11. The new copier will improve efficiency by providing improved performance at a reduced cost. Their current copier is nearly eight years old and in need of replacement.
