Re: Request for Executive Session
As you know there have been changes to the Charter in regards to the Initiative and Referendum
process as voted on by the voters in the last election. Questions have arisen concerning the process
and I believe that these questions could be best addressed by the Corporation Counsel in an
executive session during the next meeting of the Committee on Governmental Relations on
April 19, 2011.
I am requesting an executive session be convened on April 19, 2011 pursuant to HRS Section 92-
5(a) (4) to consult with our attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Council's powers,
duties, privileges, and immunities, and liabilities.
