From Council Chairperson Dominic Yagong, dated March 21, 2011, stating that
pursuant to the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of
Hawai `i, Rule 2.2, Special Meetings, is scheduling a Special Meeting of the Hawaii
County Council on March 28, 2011, at 8 a.m., to consider the above matters; and

the cancellation of this Committee.

ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS
Res. 48 -11: SUPPORTS MAYOR WILLIAM P. KENOI IN HIS EFFORTS TO OBTAIN
DISASTER RELIEF FUNDING FROM STATE AND FEDERAL SOURCES TO
ASSIST THE COUNTY OF HAWAII IN ITS RECOVERY FROM THE
MARCH 11, 2011, TSUNAMI
On March 10, 2011, Acting Mayor William Takaba proclaimed and declared a state
of emergency for the County of Hawaii, and on March 13, 2011, Governor
Neil Abercrombie proclaimed disaster areas for the purpose of authorizing
expenditure of State monies for speedy and efficient relief damages, losses, and
suffering resulting from the disaster. States that the Council supports the efforts of
Mayor Kenoi in conveying a message of urgency to Governor Abercrombie
concerning tsunami damages sustained by the County of Hawaii.
