NOES: None. ABSENT: Council Members Ikeda and Onishi — 2. EXCUSED: None. Comm. 131.2: From Council Member Brenda J. Ford, dated March 21, 2011, stating that on February 15, 2011, the Committee on Finance passed Communication 83 to establish a Budget Ad Hoc Committee. KENOI IN HIS EFFORTS TO OBTAIN DISASTER RELIEF FUNDING FROM STATE AND FEDERAL SOURCES TO ASSIST THE COUNTY OF HAWAII IN ITS RECOVERY FROM THE MARCH 11, 2011, TSUNAMI On March 10, 2011, Acting Mayor William Takaba proclaimed and declared a state of emergency for the County of Hawaii, and on March 13, 2011, Governor Neil Abercrombie proclaimed disaster areas for the purpose of authorizing expenditure of State monies for speedy and efficient relief damages, losses, and suffering resulting from the disaster. States that the Council supports the efforts of Mayor Kenoi in conveying a message of urgency to Governor Abercrombie concerning tsunami damages sustained by the County of Hawaii. Re: Comm. 139 Intr. by: Mr. Pilago Waived: GRC AMENDED TO DRAFT 2 AND ADOPTED AYES: Council Members Blas, Ford, Hoffmann, Pilago, Smart, Yoshimoto, and Chair Yagong — 7. NOES: None.
