Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 53 -11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 53 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, via
Communication No. 148, dated March 22, 2011, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of
Hammer Strength brand exercise equipment, with a total value of $1,250, to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for use at the Pa'auilo Gym.
Pursuant to Article XIIL Section 13 -12, Hawaii County Charter the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to donor Mr. Ed Allen, 77 -6462 Marlin Road, Kailua -Kona,
Hawai`i 96740, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 53 -11,
and recommends its adoption.
