Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 55 -11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 55 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, dated March 22,
2011, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a
multi -year lease for one (1) copier for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
This copier services the West Hawai`i CSE (Coordinated Services program for the Elderly),
RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program), and EAD (Elderly Activities Division) Office at
the West Hawai`i Civic Center. Their current copy machine is a 2003 model and near the end of
its useful life, and therefore needs to replaced.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10 -11 of the Hawai`i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one
fiscal year must be approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 55 -11,
and recommends its adoption.
