Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 285, reports as follows:
Bill No. 285, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 303-00 by Acting Director of Finance
Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication No. 855, dated July 11, 2000, amends Ordinance
No. 00-63, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2001. The amendment is as
follows:

This grant is provided to improve the handling of domestic violence incidents through proper
handling of the investigations of police officers and increase sharing of information pertinent to
the victim and the abuser between police and EMS personnel at the scene of a domestic violence
incident.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 285 and
recommends it pass first reading.
