RESOLUTION NO. C9 11
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL
YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE OF
REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease
or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department presently leases property in Na'alehu for
use in providing EMS services; and
WHEREAS, by extending the lease for an additional two (2) years, the rent is to be
set at $1,402.73 per month, for premises located at 95 -1163 Ka'alaiki Road, Na'alehu,
Hawai'i, starting on May 1, 2011.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a two (2) year lease
agreement for the Na'alehu EMS Station located at 95 -1163 Ka'alaiki
Road, Na'alehu, Hawaii.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Hawaii Fire
Department, and the Finance Department.
