Comm. 94: APPLICATIONS FROM NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR COUNTY GRANT
FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011 -2012
From Finance Director Nancy E. Crawford, dated February 7, 2011, submitting the
qualifying applications from nonprofit organizations pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25,
Hawaii County Code, for the Council's review and appropriation of funds for inclusion in
the Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2011 -2012. Sixty (60) organizations have submitted
applications for 92 programs, totaling $3,227,650.92. Attaches a list of organizations, the
program titles, and amounts requested.

Comm. 94.2: REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF NON - PROFIT GRANT AD HOC
COMMITTEE
From Councilmember Angel Pilago, dated April 4, 2011, submitting recommendations for
the FY 2011 -2012 Appropriations for Grants to Nonprofit Organizations. A total of
ninety -two (92) eligible program applications were received. This is an increase of three (3)
applications from last fiscal year. The amount requested for this year totaled $3,227,650.92.
The preliminary budget appropriation for this fiscal year is $1,500,000.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (hereinafter "HRS ") §92 -3.5, the Hawaii
County Council will be conducting this Committee meeting via videoconference. Councilmembers will be
present at the following locations:
• Kona Council Chambers, West Hawaii Civic Center, 74 -5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Building A;
• Hilo Council Chambers, Hawaii County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Suite 1401.
Public Attendance Via Videoconferencing is available at the locations above and at the Waimea Council Office
at the Holomua Center, 64 -1067 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite 5 until 4:30 p.m., or later in the event public
witness testimony has not been completed. If audio stream between Kona and Hilo is lost for more than a short
period of time, the meeting will be terminated.

Submitting Testimony: Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring fourteen (14)
copies for distribution. Public testimony may also be submitted before 12:00 noon on the business day
