Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 45, reports as follows:
Bill 45, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication 168, dated April 6,
2011, amends Chapter 2, article 16, section 2 -101.1 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended), relating to Mileage and Meal Reimbursements for Volunteer Police
Personnel.
This bill proposes to delete this reference to section 2 -96 of the County Code and specify the
parameters of meal allowance for these volunteer police personnel within section 2- 101.1. It
would take effect on July 1, 2011.
There was no discussion on this issue.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 45, and recommends
it pass first reading.
