Comm. 185: PRESENTATION ON ACT 54, HAWAII COMPLETE STREETS LAW, BY LAURA DIERENFIELD OF PEOPLES ADVOCACY FOR TRAILS HAWAII (PATH) From Councilmember K. Angel Pilago, dated April 19, 2011, concerning a presentation by Laura Dierenfield of Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii (PATH) concerning Act 54 that passed in 2009, the Hawaii Complete Streets Law, background on Complete Streets and an update regarding County efforts to implement policy. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Serving the Interests of the People of our Island Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer GRC -5 Page 2 May 3, 2011 Comm. 175: REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION - CHARTER PROVISIONS RELATING TO INITIATIVE AND REFERENDUM From Council Chair Dominic Yagong, dated April 11, 2011, concerning the initiative and referendum process. The Government Relations Committee anticipates convening an executive meeting regarding the above matter, pursuant to Section 92- 5(a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with Council's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Committee's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS Section 92 -4 and Rule 10 of the Rules of Procedure of the County Council is necessary to hold an executive meeting. Postponed: April 19, 2011 (Note: There is a pending motion made by Ms. Smart and duly seconded by Ms. Ford to close file on Comm. 175.)
