Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 287, reports as follows:
Bill No. 287, transmitted by Acting Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication
No. 857, dated July ] I, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 00-64, as amended, the Capital Budget
ending June 30, 2001, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Kinoole Corridor Traffic Signa[ Upgrade-Federal 110-399-5391.27-115 $1,600,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $1,600,000
Funds will be used to upgrade existing traffic signal systems at the intersections of Kinoole
Street with Kawailani Street, Kawili Street, Lanikaula Street, and Mohouli Street. Work to also
include construction or reconstruction of concrete ramps and sidewalk to comply with ADA
regulations.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 287 and
recommends it pass first reading.
