Re: Comm. No. 859 /Bill No. 288
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 288, reports as follows:
Bill No. 288, transmitted by Acting Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication
No. 859, dated July 11, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 00 -64, as amended, the Capital Budget
ending June 30, 2001, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Kealakehe Police Station Refueling 110 - 299 - 5296.56 -115 $122,000
Station Upgrade
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $122,000
Fund Balance and /or Other Sources
Funds will be used to provide adequate supervision for the Kealakehe Police Refueling Station
during construction.
Although Your Committee fully supported this effort, members were concerned over the actual
cost. Your Committee recommends said bill be filed to allow the Department of Public Works
Building Division the opportunity to produce a new bill with a more accurate appropriation.
Your Committee on Finance is not in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 288 and
recommends it be filed.
