PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SAFER (STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE AND
EMERGENCY RESPONSE) GRANT FOR THE HAWAI‘I FIRE DEPARTMENT; and

resolution and bill. Appropriates revenues of $100,000 in the Federal Grants – SAFER
Program Account; and appropriates same in the Hawai‘i Fire Department’s SAFER
Program – Fire Account.
Recommends passage of Bill 50 on first reading.

(Res. 69-11) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE
OF REAL PROPERTY
From Finance Director Nancy E. Crawford, dated April 20, 2011, transmitting the above
resolution. These funds will be used for a two-year lease for premises located in Nā‘ālehu
for the Fire Department to comply with the State of Hawai‘i’s contract to provide EMS
services.
Recommends adoption of Res. 69-11.
