Kenoi, dated April 20, 2011, requesting confirmation of the appointment of Glen Hisashima to the Board of Ethics. REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION REPORT FOR TAX YEAR 2011 -2012 From Finance Director Nancy E. Crawford, dated April 21, 2011, transmitting the Real Property Assessment Report pursuant to Chapter 19, § 19- 90(d), Hawaii County Code. The total value of net taxable real property is $24,406,104,551, which represents a 4.36 percent decrease compared to the previous tax year. Also included is the Council District Certification Report for Tax Year 2011 -2012, which breaks the information down along the council district boundaries. Comm. 195: A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT MAYOR WILLIAM P. KENOI AUTHORIZE (Res. 71 -11) THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR ACQUISITION OF TAX MAP KEY NO. (3) 1- 3- 08:POR. 034, COMPRISING 26.782 ACRES OF LAND KNOWN AS POHOIKI BAY, SITUATED IN THE DISTRICT OF PUNA From Council Member Fred Blas, dated April 29, 2011. Pohoiki Bay was identified by the Public Access Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission as Priority Number 1 for acquisition in its 2010 Report and Priority List due to its historically significant canoe landing site, the preservation of cultural and burial sites, and significant stands of Milo and Kamani trees. Comm. 202: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A (Res. 75 -11) SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE FROM THE UNITED STATES MARSHALS SERVICE FOR USE IN JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated May 4, 2011. The donation is valued at $22,900.74. The Joint Law Enforcement Operations Task Force, which will be utilizing the vehicle, has a mission to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives in order to improve public safety and reduce violent crimes. Comm. 205: A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A REVIEW AND POTENTIAL REFORM OF THE (Res. 76 -11) COUNTY OF HAWAI`I'S REAL PROPERTY TAX STRUCTURE From Councilmember Pete Hoffmann, dated May 4, 2011. The resolution urges the Mayor to allocate funds from the 2011 -2012 Operating Budget to contract with an outside consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of the County's real property tax structure.
