Comm. 208: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SISTER-CITY
(Res. 77-11) RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORMOC CITY, PHILIPPINES AND THE COUNTY OF
HAWAI‘I, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I TO
ENTER INTO A FORMAL SIGNED AGREEMENT
From Councilmember Brittany Smart, dated May 16, 2011. Proposed benefits of entering
into a sister-city relationship with Ormoc City include geothermal information and
technical exchange, enhanced economic and business partnership; and educational and
cultural exchange.
Recommends adoption of Res. 77-11, as amended to Draft 2:
