Kawauchi, RE: I, STRONGLY SUPPORT, Hawaii County Council Resolution 82 -11; AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO SUBGRANT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI'I, BOARD OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES, AND TO ACCEPT FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF KAWA, DISTRICT OF KA'U, ISLAND OF HAWAI'I. The State of Hawai'i's Department of Land and Natural Resources applied for and received grant funing in the amount of $1,000,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service. Pursuant to Hawai'i Revised Statutes, Section 46 -7, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement to subgrant with Board of Land and natural Resources and U. S.
