Comm. 607:FIRST PHASE UPGRADE ON THE PUBLIC SAFETY "MICROWAVE
NETWORK SYSTEM"
From Subcommittee on Technology and Communications Chair Gary Safarik, dated
April 29, 2002, advising the first meeting of the subcommittee to be held on
May 14, 2002, will be focused on the above topic.
States that Assistant Police Chief Lawrence Mahuna, Police Major Morton Carter
and Radio Technician II Leslie Matsumoto from the Police Department's Radio Shop,
as well as Purchasing Agent Bill Gray, will be in attendance. Also, a representative
fromGartner, the group which recommended a selection plan for the County in its
process to select a microwave system vendor, is scheduled to be present. Attached is
a copy of the memo from the Gartner group to Major Carter which contain their
recommendations.
