Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Bill 60, reports as follows:
Bill 60, transmitted by the Director of Public Works Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication
No. 228, dated May 27, 2011, amends the Hawaii County Code 1983, (2005 Edition, as
Amended), Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2 (Moving Vehicles), Section 24 -265, Schedule 13
(Yield locations), paragraph (a), Hamakua (assigns right -of way to these one lane bridges).
Councilmember Yagong informed committee members that these bridges are in his district and
he urged support for the Bill.
For informational purposes, there were no public testifiers and no discussion on the Bill.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill 60, and recommends its passage on first reading.
