MEMORANDUM

Re: Bill 268 Draft 2, Bill 269 Draft 2, and Bill 270 Draft 2
On April 25, 2011, I requested Bill 268 Draft 2, Bill 269 Draft 2 and Bill 270 Draft 2 be placed on the
Public Works and Parks and Recreation Committee agenda for its meeting on June 14, 2011.
On May 5, 2011, I realized that Bill 268 Draft 2, Bill 269 Craft 2 and Bill 270 Draft 2 were
inadvertently placed on the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Committee agenda for its meeting
on May 16, 2011.
Although my office approved the draft agenda, it was soon discovered that the Department of Public
Works was not prepared to have the Bills heard until June 14, 2011, as originally requested.
I would therefore like to entertain a motion to postpone these Bills until June 14, 2011 to give the
Department of Public Works time to complete in -depth educational materials to present to the Council
and to the Public that will help answer questions and concerns that were raised about the Bills during
two public meetings held last year by the Department of Public Works.
I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
