Hawaii County Council Members
Hi. I need to tell all of you that the Hawaii County Band is very important to the ECONOMY! Here is why.
People come from many places of the world come to see the Hawaii County Band. It is why the island is
popular. NOW, you have to pay to get off of the island and the more people who come, the more tickets
are sold, and the better the economy. Talking music, the song "Rakes of Mallow" is one of my favorites.
If the Hawaii County Band is gone, I HAVE TO MOVE OFF THE ISLAND TO SEE ANOTHER LIVE
PERFORMANCE! Same applies with other people and other songs. AND it has been part of my life. My
mom has been playing clarinet in the band for over 14 years. And I have been to every concert and
rehearsal I could go to. I love the band and music very much, so please keep the band.
