Subject: Proposed amendment (re: County Band)
To Whom It May Concern,
I was born and raised in Kea'au, and I am currently studying at Indiana University. As a student
pursuing a degree in music education, it pains me to have to write a message like this one for a second
time. Please do not eliminate the County Bands from your budget for the upcoming year. The arts are
what make us human, and to take away from the Big Island community these outstanding programs is to
do a great disservice not just to Hawai'i, but to humanity as a whole.
I urge you to reconsider this amendment.
