Subject: Non - funding of the Hawaii County Bands ,-'
I am writing to ask that the funding for the Hawaii County Bands NOT be cut. Cuts to the budget
should be fair and equitable. Totally not funding a program is not fair - especially a program which
services the entire island.
Reasons for this request can be found in last year's budget testimony. I believe it's the most testimony
for the band you've ever received. Please do what the public has asked you to do - and that is to fund the
bands.
Please do what is right by NOT defunding the bands. Call me or email me if you have any questions. I
welcome the opportunity to sit and talk story with each of you. It is unfortunate that this budget meeting
is held during the regular workday when most of us are at our day jobs.
