Subject: Plastic bag ban
Dear County Council Members — Please DO NOT vote for this plastic bag ban. You have already heard that Maui
& Kauai are having problems with their ban. There are many uses for recycling the bags — just work for more
education to recycle and set up more recycling sites. Most people use the bags for other things. The many uses
for reusing the bags will not reduce the use of plastic bags as people will need to purchase bags instead.
PLEASE RETHINK THIS PLASTIC BAG BAN! This is not your priority — there are more important things on
which the council needs to concentrate. Thank you, Judith Torricer
